Highly recommend!! For the location and price, amazing. the shared floor bathrooms were no problem. Not once did i have to wait, males have a shared and females have their own as well. Quiet rooms, small but cute and perfect for a weekend stay like we were. Helpful and nice front desk! Would return to!

Really great value for the location. To get a good place in a big city in the middle of summer at this price is great. Staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful. As a solo traveler, I always appreciate places that have a solo room. Also having the shared bathroom was no issue at all, and the community bathroom is really nice with some thoughtful touches. Great restaurants close by and walkable to so much. I will definitely make this my go-to place in Vancouver.

The Kingston Hotel holds a strange place in the modern hotel landscape. It is extremely clean with a wonderful, helpful staff but has vintage charm and amenities. If you like old Hollywood movies where the character lives in a boarding house using the phone down the hallway, then this place is for you. I booked a "Room with One Single Bed and Shared Bathroom". The room was clean and comfortable, and included a bed, sink/mirror, a sitting chair, a side table and a desk with chair. The room comes with towels and a robe and slippers for going to the shared bathroom. It also had a generous toiletries basket with everything you might need but toothpaste. It also comes with a single piece of hotel stationary and an envelope which is another vintage amenity I found very sweet. The room does not have a TV or coffee maker. I was on the third floor and the shower was out of service during my weekend stay. There are more showers and stalls on the second floor that were easily accessible by stairs. I did not get a chance to use the sauna. I never had to wait for the bathroom even though you share it with the whole floor. It is walkable to Gastown, Granville Island and all the downtown venues and shopping. You get a discount at the restaurant next door. The staff was awesome and the coffee in the lounge was actually really good. I would absolutely stay here again.

This is an older hotel in a fantastic downtown location. We couldn't get a room with private bath, so we settled for a shared bath down the hall. It was clean and never busy. Our room met our needs. Front desk staff as helpful but not as 'friendly' as we are accustomed to. There is free tea and coffee available in the morning, but nothing else (not even fresh milk for tea!).

Booked a single bed with shared bath. All was super clean. Easy check in. Was able to store luggage before check in. Did some laundry for free. Fridge available. The shared bath was always spotless.

i really enjoyed my stay at the Kingston Hotel! i stayed in the single bed, shared bathroom room and it was perfect. perhaps it was the time of year (end of Jan), but there weren’t a lot of people staying on my floor and the bathroom was accessible every single time. it was also incredibly clean. i can imagine in the busier months it wouldn’t be as accessible every time or as quiet. the price was unbeatable though. i loved the old charm— i get tired of modern design in hotels; everything is black, white, and grey. this hotel felt like a blast from the past, it felt homey. the sink right in the room was extremely convenient. i tried out the sauna and liked it! the location was perfect. hotel staff were on their game. would recommend!

This hotel is adorable. It's located in a perfect spot downtown. Anything you could ever need is within a 15 minute walk. We were able to take the sky train from the airport and arrive very close to this hotel. Across the street was a whole line of ebikes for rental. The room was very clean, had ac, and a comfortable bed. We did the shared bathroom and never had to wait. The shower on our floor was out of order, but showers were available on other floors. There is a wonderful sauna available as well. Extremely quiet at night. No guests after 10. Very secure. Staff are super friendly.
